Implementation

The Careers Leader/ Careers, Advice & Guidance Manger coordinates the careers programme and works closely with the senior leadership team. All teaching staff contribute to the Careers Guidance through their roles as tutors and subject teachers. Monitoring, Review and Evaluation

The school’s careers programme is reviewed annually by the Assistant Headteacher and the Careers Advice & Guidance Manager. The focus is to identify gaps and support improvement.

Year 12 Destinations

To guide our Year 12 students to the right destination once they leave us in 2023 we have teamed up with local university and college admissions teams to give expert advice.  Below are also a range of vlogs from current students at Southampton and Bournemouth Universities giving more of an idea of what it is like to study and live away from home.

At the start of the Summer Term we will be hosting an assembly in the hall on Wednesday 27th April to talk through the process of applying for UCAS and apprenticeships and supporting you in tutor time to start your applications for wherever you choose to go.

Don’t forget there are regular updates posted in the Year 12 Classroom and the Destinations board about work experience placements, access courses, apprenticeships and university opportunities, make sure to keep checking in.
